My ad metrics look fine but I'm getting zero add-to-carts. Where is the traffic going?

Funnel drop-off diagnostic question — usually indicates a destination URL or page load issue

Zero ATCs with reasonable CTR almost always indicates a landing page problem, not a creative problem. Your ads are delivering traffic — the traffic is arriving at a page that isn't working.

  • Check #1 — Destination URL: Open your ad in Ads Manager and click through to wherever it's sending traffic. Did it land on your product page? Or on a homepage, 404 page, or broken URL? Wrong destination is the #1 cause of this exact symptom.
  • Check #2 — Mobile load time: Over 80% of Meta ad traffic arrives on mobile. Open your product page URL on your phone using mobile data (not WiFi) and count the seconds until it's interactive. If it takes 4+ seconds to load on mobile, a large percentage of visitors are bouncing before the page renders. Use Google PageSpeed Insights on your product URL.
  • Check #3 — Page rendering issue: An app conflict or recent theme update might have broken your Add to Cart button. Attempt to add the product to cart yourself on an incognito window. If it doesn't work — your buyers were hitting the same broken button.
  • Check #4 — Pixel not firing ATC events: Your ATCs may actually be happening but not being tracked. Go to Meta Events Manager → Test Events and run a test on your store to confirm the AddToCart event fires when you click the button.
