What does it mean when my CTR is good but my CPC is still high?

High CTR with high CPC usually means your CPM (cost per thousand impressions) is very high — often because of audience competition or Meta's learning phase. CPC = CPM ÷ (CTR × 10). So if CPM is $80 and CTR is 2%, your CPC is still $4. The fix is usually one of: (1) broader audience reducing CPM, (2) giving the learning phase more time for CPM to normalize, or (3) moving to a less competitive niche. Good CTR is a creative signal. High CPC is a delivery/cost signal. They can coexist.

Tactical FixCheck your CPM first — it's the root metric. If CPM is above $50, focus on bringing that down by broadening your audience and testing different creative formats before worrying about CPC in isolation.
