Do I need a professional-looking homepage or just a product page?

Store design scope question — beginners waste enormous time building pages nobody sees

For paid traffic in the testing phase: just a product page. Your ads send people directly to your product page — almost zero paid traffic ever sees your homepage. A homepage is a nice-to-have for brand credibility but has essentially zero impact on your conversion rate when running paid ads.

  • What you actually need: One high-converting product page. Clear headline, product images/video, social proof (reviews), benefit bullets, strong CTA, trust badges, and FAQ section that kills the top 3 objections. That's your entire CRO priority.
  • When homepage matters: When you start getting significant organic or direct traffic, when you're building a brand that needs a home, when you expand to multiple products. Not during single-product testing phase.
  • Common mistake: Spending 3 days building a homepage, about page, blog, and FAQ page before launching a single ad. None of that traffic will see those pages. Your ad spend goes to your product page URL. Optimize the page people actually land on.
