What is CBO?

Campaign Structure

Campaign Budget Optimization. You set the budget at the campaign level; Meta allocates it across adsets automatically toward whichever is converting. Efficient for scaling but problematic for testing — one adset will eat all the spend and starve your other angles of data.

Why it matters: CBO is the right tool for scaling proven winners. ABO is the right tool for testing new angles. Confusing them costs real money — either through inefficient scaling or through data-starved testing.

Running CBO for initial product testing. Your top-spending angle steals the budget, starving every other angle. You end up with one over-tested angle and four data-starved ones — and you call it a "full test."
